Knowledge is at the core of of our operation. All of our experts have Ph.D.s in economics or a related field from top universities, but we do not rest on our laurels. We are constantly reading the latest research in economics and statistics and work to include it in our services. Of course, newer methods are not always suitable for use in all projects; and sometimes existing methods are better alternatives. Only by staying abreast of the latest research and judging with a keen eye can one know what methods are available and best for a project.

Integrity defines how we operate and conduct business. During the sales phase of a project, that means we are upfront about our capabilities and limitations and will only take on those projects where we are completely confident in our ability to complete the project successfully. In large consulting firms, the sales team is typically separate from the team of experts who will work on the project. Inevitably, commission-driven salespeople make commitments and promises that push the boundaries of what is technically feasible, ethical, or practical. At Poi Consulting LLC our team of experts is our sales force. We are constantly mindful of what is feasible and ethical from an economic perspective, and we will not agree to projects that are not. While all businesses like to grow, we will never compromise our integrity just to make a sale.

Integrity also defines how we conduct ourselves while working on projects. We host frequent conference calls with clients to apprise them of the status of their projects and discuss both the successes and failures we have encountered. We abide by best practices in economics and do not cut corners just to save time or resources. No one would expect their surgeon to take shortcuts or ignore established procedures. We apply the same level of rigor to your projects.

Transparency means that you are aware of all analyses that we do and that those analyses can be replicated and studied by you, your auditors, and other inspectors. At the end of each project you will be provided appropriate computer files to reproduce all statistics and figures presented in reports and presentations.
